BBC London 2012 Olympic Games advert

So we’ve had the Euros, Wimbledon is over for another year, next up it’s time for East London to take centre stage for the Olympics.

To get you in the mood for London’s main event the BBC commissioned Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R to create this amazing animation. I first saw this BBC Olympics advert during the final of Euro 2012 and it took my breath away. The advert really got me excited about the coming Olympic Games and the graphics simply look amazing (If Fifa 2013 looked anything like this it would be amazing).

The ad shows the UK as a giant stadium with Olympic athletes preparing and competing in quintessential British landscapes to convey how the BBC will give you a front row seat to the games wherever you are in the country.

As much as I love this ad, I can’t stop thinking that it looks like a much better version of the Lloyds TSB adverts, you know, the ones with the people with beady eyes and long noses.

Either way this BBC Olympics advert has really got me excited about the games. Bring on the 27 July!

I’d love to hear what you  think about the Olympics advert, whether it’s good or bad.
